Scenes from the Suburbs

Arcade Fire’s album “The Suburbs” is the quinessential hipster jammy and now they have a corresponding short film directed by none other then the hipster-god Spike Jonze. Entitled “Scenes from the Suburbs” the film is a vignette of summertime life in a nameless suburbia that has been overrun by an army. You can just feel the teenage angst from the minute you start into this one. This will be a part of the band’s reissued album which is set to be re-released on August 2nd. Unfortunately the film in its entirety was only available to the world for free for two days  and that time has since passed. So until then I’ll leave you to imagine the rest with this.
