Tien-Min Liao

Artist Tien-Min Liao challenged herself in this typographic experiment to explore the relationships between the upper and lower-case letters and to document their transformation from one to the other. She drew the letters with ink onto one or both of her hands and then manipulated her gestures to create a variance of the letter. She also limited herself to only make the upper and lower-case letter in one set, for example H and h. She even created some italic, hand written letters and some different original type faces.
